a better future for tomorrow

Sustainable Development Goals

In September 2015 over 150 international leaders met at the United Nations to contribute to global development, promote human well-being and protect the environment. The UN Member States approved the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development, the key components of which are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).They also address key aspects of sustainable development like tackling climate change and developing peaceful societies by 2030.

A challenge to be won together
Veroniki Holding has decided to adopt some major themes of the Sustainable Development Goals and integrate them with its own strategic vision.

We create value with integrity

Veroniki Holding approaches every business sector with a clear philosophy: to create value with integrity, for the benefit of all stakeholders, with the aim of being an increasingly efficient, strong, sustainable and environmentally-friendly organisation.

We operate in the energy sector and contribute to the sustainable energy transition, with the aim of preserving our planet, through two main goals: air quality and climate change (Goal 13).
We are also committed to building homes that contribute to the creation of increasingly sustainable cities and communities (Goal 11).

We produce sustainable and renewable energy

LPG is the most sustainable traditional fuel and should be regarded as the bridge towards a decarbonised energy scenario. We support renewable energies to promote efficient access to energy resources, through the production of electricity from renewable energy plants (like Photovoltaic or Wind) and Biogas.

We also work in the plastic recycling sector and in the production of film and food containers made from r-PET (Goal 7).

We focus on the well-being of people

We focus on the well-being of people, whether they are employees or not, through a specialist clinic and corporate wellness projects (Goal 3). We believe that diversity, also cultural, is an important resource for the development of our Group but also humanity as a whole. For us there are no gender differences (Goal 5) and we are committed through concrete actions that guarantee people better standards of living and education with the founding of universities, and foundations and with continuous professional development programmes for our employees (Goal 4).
