LPG

The Group’s core business is the distribution of LPG in Europe with a professional and efficient service. LPG is regarded as the most sustainable fossil fuel available to consumers.

The most sustainable fossil fuel

LPG is a by-product of the extraction and refining of crude oil and natural gas; if it isn’t used it is burnt in the flare stack.

There is already a pre-existing and widespread LPG logistics infrastructure which doesn’t need additional investment.

LPG has a high calorific value compared with other traditional energy sources. Being a gassy fuel, the equipment that uses it (steam generators, boilers, heat pumps, etc.) is more efficient.

LPG contributes to maintaining air quality and is a valid alternative to traditional fuels which will gradually be banned due to their high emissions of pollutants like CO2, carbon monoxide, unburnt carbons, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, particulate matter or fine dust particles and volatile organic compounds.

Not being a GHG (Greenhouse Gas), like for example carbon dioxide gas and methane, LPG contributes to meeting climate change containment goals.

If subjected to moderate pressure at room temperature LPG becomes liquid, making it easier to store and transport.

LPG can be delivered anywhere, it is independent of any distribution network and doesn’t require any investments in this regard.

BioLGP is already available in growing quantities on the European market and is gradually being introduced into the LPG mix to contribute to decarbonisation.
